Greg Douglas, Audit Senior Manager, enjoys ''the opportunity to personally provide a wide range of services to a variety of clients'' in his work at MHFA. Greg graduated with honors from the University of Illinois in 1988, and has been a part of the MHFA team since 1996. Much of his time is spent providing consulting services to attestation clients and non-attestation clients in the governmental and nonprofit industries. He also enjoys working with for-profit clients with federal contracts, and preparing personal income tax returns. Greg notes, ''the Partners at MHFA are smart, creative, outgoing and very easy to respect, while the staff are very committed to doing their best for their clients.''
''Work-Life balance is key,'' states Justin Overstreet, Audit Senior Manager. ''The MHFA team encourages everyone to maintain and develop a professional career without sacrificing the things that are important outside of work, like family.'' Justin graduated from the University of Illinois in 2006 with highest honors, and joined the firm shortly thereafter. His time is spent working with clients in many industries, including construction contractors, small business, and employee benefit plans. Justin also has the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) credentials as part of his business valuation work.
Bryan James, Audit Manager since 2009, appreciates the collaborative and supportive environment at MHFA. ''MHFA offers me the freedom to grow and learn in a fun and relaxing atmosphere, alongside talented professionals who are willing to share their time and expertise,'' he states. Bryan graduated from Illinois State University in 2008 and earned a Master of Accounting Science from ISU in 2009. He spends much of his time managing the audits and reviews of construction, small business, government, and nonprofit clients. Bryan also prepares tax returns for individuals and corporations, and serves as a member of the MHFA recruiting team.
Wade Hoey, Manager, joined the firm in October 2014 after spending four years with a large, national accounting firm, and notes that ''the culture at MHFA is great. Everyone works together to deliver a top-notch product to our clients.'' Wade completed his Masters of Science in Accountancy from Illinois State University in 2010. Wade has served clients in many industries, including construction contractors, financial institutions, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations. At MHFA, he also provides accounting assistance and completes tax returns. ''The atmosphere motivates each employee to constantly grow and improve,'' Wade states.
''The best part of working at MHFA is the people,'' notes Kaci Isaksen, Audit Supervisor. ''The partners create a work environment that is fun and easy-going, which makes me want to get out of bed and come to work every day!'' Kaci earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy in 2009 and a Masters of Accounting Science in 2010, both from the University of Illinois. She joined the MHFA team in 2010 and provides audit services for employee benefit plan clients including 401(k) and Employee Stock Ownership Plans. Kaci also works on non-profit and small business audit engagements, and is a member of the company’s Employee Benefit Plan team.
Tyler Kutz, Audit Supervisor, joined the firm in 2011. ''The culture at MHFA really is something special. The firm provides me with the opportunity to engage in many different facets of the CPA profession, all while doing so with a great group of people.'' Tyler completed his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Accountancy from Eastern Illinois University in 2009. Tyler serves clients in many industries, including construction contractors, small business, and employee benefit plans. Additionally, Tyler provides payroll and tax assistance to a broad range of organizations and individuals. ''Find something you enjoy and you will never work a day in your life. That is all the more true when you get to work alongside a team like we have here,'' Tyler notes.
